Ear Tubing

A couple of days ago in the post, “Lessons From The Cleft,” I mentioned that our son was getting ready to have another set of tubes placed in his ears. He has had several ear infections over the past several months and currently has about a 20% hearing loss in each ear due to fluid build-up. Tubes help prevent the build-up of fluid, infection, and earaches.

May I ask you to pray for our boy as we get ready for this procedure? It is a routine, day-surgery. This will be his fourth set of tubes. He’s a little nervous about the anesthesia.

We’ll check into the hospital at 7:30 (CST) in the morning. The operation should begin at 9:30 and will probably take about 30 minutes. We should be able to bring him home between 11am and 12 noon if his recovery goes well and his vitals are all stable.

Thank you for your prayers.
